The idea for CircleBlast formed in early 2011, and after years of planning and tweaking the concept, it evolved to its launch in January 2020. After being involved in multiple networking groups, Matt Maudlin, owner of MEMO Marketing Group, began thinking about how to engage professional relationships on a deeper level. While traditional networking groups fit limited needs, Matt wanted to explore the idea of what could happen if a group united their relationships and resources to reach more relational impact than any individual could alone.
Learning from his past experiences in these groups, Matt found barriers that kept networking groups from reaching their full level of success and value. The main problems that he consistently drew from his observations were a lack of accountability, marketing, and group data. To remedy these issues, Matt pulled together a team and they collaborated to create a database for a networking group in 2015 to help them leverage their referrals. Shortly after its creation, multiple groups requested the platform to be implemented for them.
This is where CircleBlast comes in.
After pitching the idea in 2019, initial planning and development of CircleBlast began. In March 2020, the COVID pandemic hit. While networking strategies were strained for some groups, CircleBlast used the opportunity to hone its database and strategies to reflect the new era of hybrid networking and marketing. This era is defined by a combination of virtual and in-person connections that promote meaningful relationships between business professionals that trust each other, providing mutual benefit to everyone involved.
